Impermanence is a truth revealed by the Buddha. An example he uses is the sprouting, growth, blossoming, fading and withering of grass and trees. Over the infancy, childhood, adulthood, old age and death of a human being, there aremoments of happiness, greetings and partings, pleasure, anger, sorrow and joy.All people and things are like bubbles in water which rise and disappear. This shows that nothing can last forever without being subject to change.
